Five On The 5th

The State Of The Nation UK took up my suggestion and has himself proffered subjects for his 5 on the fifth monthly photo project.

These are:

1. The morning view from your bedroom window

2. The first person you meet on the day

3. Your favourite piece of art in your home

4. A treasured possession

5. A self portrait

So, here we go...

This was the view from my bedroom window just over a year ago on Sunday September 28th at 7.30am from Robinson College, Cambridge.

We were there for a work event - an academy. Morale was low, and the event itself was uninspired.

The morning mist said it all.



This morning (I am preparing this on Sunday night, the eve before the 5th) the first person I met was of course mon C, after an absence in our bed of 6 weeks.

Perhaps it was turning 40 that made him feel the need...



In reality, he is also my most treasured possession, which covers me on 2 counts. (He honestly is).

And talking of 2 for 1, my last pic also scores off two of the topics. Here is a pic I took and worked on to test my ability on Photoshop Elements. Judge for yourself just how successful I was...



Nevertheless it is a portrait of me in front of my favourite piece of art at home....
