2012

I think that 2012 was one of my favourite years. The garden didn't do too well. All that rain from Jubilee ever after. My chilli plants fruited too late to ripen. Two of my aunts died in quick succession, a great loss to my Mum...

But our Olympic summer. London and Britain at its best. Followed by Paralympic pride.

I will never forget sitting in the crowd watching Danny Boyle's unique opening ceremony unfold in front of my eyes and ears. Wonderful, stunning, masterful. Then taking part in the Paralympic opening ceremony myself.

Downy Flake

A light dusting, just in time of course to disrupt my travel arrangements, flying back to Scotland as I am later today!

The only other sound's the sweep, of easy wind and downy flake. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

Goodbye x2; The New Generation

And 2012 had been such a great year.

In November I lost two of my aunts, one either side on my Mum. Her best friends.

I chose, as a mark of respect, not to post. The void remembers them.

So, suddenly once again you find me in Scotland. Not far from my first home, to mourn another passing. Though on my way up I listened to a new old friend.

No one would have believed....

But, still, life goes on. I'm back performing for Christmas once again. At the Southbank Centre for 3 performances.

Such Christmas fun.
